Our Commitment to Privacy
Campaign Shield ("Campaign Shield," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the brands and agencies that use our influencer content compliance monitoring service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, and it applies to our website and the Service.
By using our website or the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not provide us with your personal information or use the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
The Information We Collect
We collect only the information that is relevant and necessary to provide the Service. This includes:
- Name — the name of the individual who creates or manages an account on behalf of a brand or agency.
- Business email address — used to create and manage your account and to send you alerts and other Service-related communications.
- Company name — the brand or agency you represent.
- Website — your company's website address.
- Monitored social media post links — the links to influencer social media posts that you ask us to monitor for compliance (for example, checking whether the required #AD disclosure remains, whether the post has been made private or deleted, or whether the post has been edited after going live).
We do not require you to provide any personal information about the influencers whose posts you ask us to monitor; we only access the publicly available content at the links you submit for the purpose of monitoring it on your behalf.
You can choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may limit your ability to use some or all of the Service.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and administer your Campaign Shield account;
- Monitor the social media post links you provide and detect compliance issues, such as removal of the #AD disclosure, a post being made private, a post being deleted, or a post being edited after going live;
- Send you alerts and notifications about the status of the posts you ask us to monitor;
- Communicate with you about your account, respond to your questions, and provide customer support;
- Send you information about updates, new features, or changes to the Service;
- Maintain, improve, and develop the Service; and
- Comply with applicable laws, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements with you.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
We do not rent or sell your personal information to anyone. We may share your information only as described below:
Service providers. We may share information with third-party vendors who perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support. These providers may only use your information to perform their services for us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Campaign Shield, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If Campaign Shield is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
Data Security
We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as reasonably necessary so that you can take appropriate protective steps.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by brands and agencies and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
International Users
If you access the Service from outside the country in which our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a jurisdiction that may have data protection laws different from those in your own country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
Third-Party Links
The Service and our website may contain links to third-party websites, including the social media platforms hosting the posts you ask us to monitor. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website prior to the change taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
