How it works

Four moving parts. No agents, no integrations, no installs.

Campaign Shield is a URL monitor with a very specific job: protect you from the 1-in-4 sponsored posts that get edited after publish. Here's the whole loop.

01

You paste a public Instagram or TikTok URL

No API keys, no creator invitations, no browser extensions. Just a URL and an optional label for your own reference. You set how long you want it monitored — anywhere from a week up to your plan maximum (30 days on Free, 365 on Agency).

We capture the baseline caption

On save, Campaign Shield fetches the post and stores the normalized caption text, all hashtags, the creator handle, and the timestamp. Normalization strips whitespace quirks and line-break differences so we never cry wolf over formatting.

A cron runs every 24 hours

For every active post, we refetch the page, extract the current caption, normalize it the same way, and diff it against the baseline. The post gets one of three statuses: OK, MODIFIED, or UNAVAILABLE. Only status changes produce alerts — a post that stays modified does not spam you daily.

You get an email — but only when it matters

Via Resend. Inside: the post URL, the previous caption, the current caption (or "Post unavailable"), and a word-level diff. One click takes you to the dashboard where you can acknowledge, follow up with the creator, or export the record.

What we intentionally do not do

No screenshots, no PDFs, no engagement analytics, no real-time monitoring, no private-account detection. We made a deliberate choice to ship one thing — caption-integrity monitoring — and do it cleanly. Anything else distracts from the core promise.

Common questions

If something's unclear, write us — we read every message.

Do you need the creator's permission?

No. Campaign Shield only reads publicly visible content — the same thing anyone with the link would see. We do not log into accounts or collect private data.

What happens when a post becomes unavailable?

The last-seen caption is preserved in your dashboard and exports. The post is marked Unavailable; you receive one alert; we stop polling it. Your baseline is intact for audit purposes.

How fast is "within 24 hours"?

The daily cron runs at a consistent time each day in your account timezone. Worst case, a 23-hour-old edit ships on the next run. We are not a real-time system by design — that tradeoff is what keeps the product simple and the price honest.

What counts as a "modified" caption?

Any change to the normalized caption text. Normalization removes whitespace quirks and handles emoji safely, so you get alerted on substantive edits — not formatting flukes.

Can I monitor a post that's already been up for weeks?

Yes. When you add it, we capture whatever the current caption is as your baseline. Future changes trigger alerts from that moment forward.

Will you add Facebook / YouTube / X?

If customers ask, yes. Our MVP is Instagram and TikTok because that's where the most sponsored-content edits happen. Tell us what you need on the contact page.

Your next caption edit shouldn't find you on vacation.
